Soirée
It’s been almost 10 years since Liviu and Teodora met in a local tea place in Cluj-Napoca, where they founded a unique piano bar project which they called Soirée. Liviu dreamed of making something completely different on the scene, something with a “French” vibe and so he befriended Teodora, a local artist with a serious French language and culture knowing background.
The duo quickly started to gain more and more opportunities on the local scene as their diverse style and repertoire, original approach and overall chemistry reached a broad spectre of audience: from local venues to fancy restaurants, private parties and even to some cultural events and festivals.
The experienced Liviu Sorescu is well known to the industry; he comes from a musical family (his parents both being prestigious music teachers) from Cluj-Napoca, where he graduated the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy (piano interpretation). He played along many bands and artists (C.A.S.H., Seven, Costi Cămărășan Band, Răzvan Krivaci, Ovidiu Anton, Jonathan Kalthoeber – the best international Robbie Williams tribute band, etc.), participated in the national Eurovision contest (with Ovidiu Anton in 2016 and Lion’s Roar in 2017 and 2018) and is currently working with his Symphonic Metal Band Lion’s Roar (founder, composer and vocalist).
Teodora Bârla has travelled a long artistic path, experimenting with various art forms and enriching her performative experience. She was lead vocalist of Vespera (modern metal) and is currently in Flashover (electro, experimental, jazz). She is working as a vocal coach in a local private music school and has many plans for her musical career in the near future.
